About the Band

Based out of Alexandria, Virginia, Hancock & Espo brings an energetic and eclectic acoustic sound to venues throughout the DMV. Blending acoustic rock favorites, country classics, Celtic tunes, and crowd-pleasing singalongs, the duo offers a little something for everyone.

With acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, piano, and rich vocal harmonies, Hancock & Espo creates a full, dynamic sound that goes well beyond the typical acoustic duo.

Hancock & Espo first met as classmates at the U.S. Naval Academy, and following separate careers in the Navy and Marine Corps they reunited as bandmates in 2025 in Northern Virginia.
